• Course Duration: 4 weeks
  • Pre-Requisite: Level 1 Basic Skills for Life or similar course. As a minimum, you must be able to do basic behaviours for short periods. Examples include sit on cue (without luring with food or touching the dog), stay in position for 10 seconds and walk beside you on a loose leash for 5 steps.


  • All attendees will receive their own personal clicker to use and keep. Plus a few other surprises.


Classes will be run workshop style, with you learning training skills while you work on your own areas of interest in training. Do you want calmer behaviour? Do you want a trick dog champion? Is walking on a loose leash still eluding you? During this class, you will practice your skills 'on the road'in the real world with real life distractions. The class instructor will provide personalised assistance as you and your dog develop your communication and learning skills.


Your dog will learn to:

  • Watch you for information on what to do
  • Be focused and on-task despite distractions and new environments
  • Feel confident in making good decisions
  • Enjoy working with you to learn new skills


You will learn to:

  • Train your dog to a higher level of reliability and precision
  • Have the ability to train novel tricks and useful behaviours
  • Learn effective methods of communicating with your dog on what you want
  • Work with your dog effectively in a variety of environments
  • Enjoy working through your training challenges and have fun
  • Fine tune your clicker training


Please bring to class:

  • Your dog's vaccination certificate
  • Soft collar and leash - no chain collars/leashes and no retractable leashes
  • Your dog's favourite food treats & toys - ideally soft food such as small bits of roast chicken, polony, cheese. If bringing a toy please refrain from bringing balls and squeaky toys. Chew and Tug toys are perfect.
